Somatic therapy focuses on the mind-body connection by helping individuals increase awareness of physical sensations, to regulate emotions, and release trauma-related tension through techniques like breathwork, movement and meditation. The sessions is concluded with a sound bath which is an immersive meditative experience where participants relax and take in the vibrations of various instruments, such as gongs and singing bowls. The Sound Bath is designed to promote deep relaxation, calm the nervous system, and induce a parasympathetic nervous system which is the calming rest and digest state.

If you’re feeling tired, stressed, overwhelmed, or struggling to switch off, this session is designed for you.
At The Holiday Inn, you’ll experience 90 minutes of gentle restorative yoga and a soothing crystal bowls and Himalayan metal bowls sound bath; this a powerful combination that calms the nervous system and supports deep healing rest. Please bring your yoga mat, a light blanket, cushion/pillow and/or eye pillow/eye mask if you would like a more intense experience. There are yoga mats for you to borrow if you don't have one of your own.

Wow !! I attended for the first time last night at the Holiday Inn in Corby.
Never done anything like this before.
The whole session was amazing.
The yoga and the Sound bath were fantastic.
Slept really well and woke up feeling refreshed.
Will be there next week for another session.

What can I say, Petra and her sound-baths have seen me through some times of struggle, where mentally I was completely worn out, everyone should experience her very restorative yoga and gentle voice leading into the most amazing sound bath, they have left me crying through emotional release and physically fizzing, like tiny champagne bubbles all over. Fantastic instructor. Genuinely the best indoor bike class I've done. She is someone who understands fitness, motivation, and, unusually for this type of class, clearly understands cycling too. Great energy, really enthusiastic and just when you're flagging she gives you a smile and you know you've got to pick it up. Highly recommended.
